Wellbeing That Actually Works — For Students, Educators & Whole School Communities

At Sage and Cinder, we know wellbeing isn’t just a ‘nice-to-have’. It’s the foundation for learning, growth, and connection, not just for every student, but for educators, too.

The reality? Research tells us that Australian students are facing rising stress, anxiety, and self-doubt… and many educators feel the same pressures. 1 in 7 young people will experience a mental health disorder, and 1 in 4 teachers think about leaving because it feels too much. COVID, constant change, and the digital world have made it even more important to have spaces where we can breathe, talk honestly, and build real resilience and meaningful communities.

The good news? Schools have an incredible opportunity to lead the way in mental wellbeing. We know that when students feel safe, connected, and supported they thrive academically, socially and emotionally. And when educators feel the same, they have more capacity to do what they do best: care, teach, and inspire.

But wellbeing isn’t a one-off workshop or a tick-box program. It’s a culture, built through moments of real learning, shared stories, and practical tools that stick. That’s where we come in. That’s why we offer workshops for schools that can be as inclusive as your school community needs. Families, teachers, and staff are all welcome to join us. While we offer student-only workshops, we also offer educator professional development that is genuinely fun, meaningful, and tailored to the individuals that are the educators!

The Sage and Cinder Difference

We bring evidence, empathy and a bit of spark. Our wellbeing workshops are not just slides and tips - that’s enough to bore us out of our jobs! They’re alive, interactive, and grounded in real research, like the studies that show social and emotional learning boosts outcomes, and that supportive, connected staff make schools stronger.

We help schools translate all the big data into small, meaningful actions:

  • Building students’ optimism, resilience and self-awareness

  • Supporting educators’ wellbeing and connection (because teacher wellbeing equals student wellbeing)

  • Creating safe, inclusive spaces for all identities and stories

  • Equipping everyone to handle stress, transition and the messy bits of life

  • Nurturing belonging, because belonging is the best protective factor there is

Workshops That Plant Seeds

Whether you’re tackling transition times, looking to strengthen staff wellbeing, or wanting to refresh your whole approach to social and emotional learning, our workshops meet you where you are.

They’re practical. Evidence-informed. Creative. And always tailored to your people, your place, and your unique challenges. Because wellbeing shouldn’t be an add-on — it should grow through every part of your community.

Let’s build it together.
